After a successful first season at Heather followed by a winter break, the 2015 season is just around the corner. It seems like only last week we were preparing to open our doors for the first time! At times it was stressful, hugely nerve-wracking and there were plenty of headaches along the way BUT we’ve come a long way in the past 12 months and the feedback we have received along the way has been overwhelmingly encouraging. It’s exciting to be looking towards the year ahead!

Despite the restaurant being closed, the building is a hive of activity at the moment and we’re busy experimenting with exciting new ingredients and flavours for our menu (and of course the less interesting things like painting and cleaning jobs!) We’re always on the lookout for the best locally sourced produce and so there are lots of people to meet and new products to explore.

We’ll shortly be launching our ‘recipe of the month’ feature and work is beginning next week on our polytunnel’s beds so lots to look forward to.
