Description
The Irish Dresden Lying Irish Leprechaun is a porcelain figurine by Cyril Hartnett. Shown in a lying pose and dressed in green and orange, the figure draws on the traditional leprechaun of Irish folklore.
According to folklore, leprechauns spend their time making shoes for the fairies and guarding hidden pots of gold deep in the forest. They have also long been associated with good fortune, with superstition linking an encounter with one of these little people to health, wealth and happiness.
This lying leprechaun design measures 8 × 4 × 7.5 cm.
