So there was a long gap there between blog updates while we got on our feet and got opened. Things have been developing at a fast pace and once the resatraunt was finished and opened attention had to shift to the gardens. Our polytunnels are up and planted and starting to yield the first of our salads!
We launched our brunch menu from last sunday available 11-2 and we are really excited about the response to some of our favourites like:
Homemade Bircher Museli with Cream, Yogurt and Berries
Ballinaskelligs Duck Egg Omlette with Feta, Parmesan and Spinach
Skellig Chocolate Crepe with Fresh Strawberries and Cream
Definitely worth a visit on Sunday!!
We have also been catering for a variety of gourmet picnics and events for some high profile clients not to say too much but the feedback was excellent and we will be available to do further catering in the future.
Heres just a sample of our last picnic:
Butternutsquash Soup with Valentia Yogurt
Ballinaskelligs Chicken and Bulgur Salad with Feta, Sundried tomatoes and Homemade Salsa Verde
Kathleens Lemon Curd Muffins to finish
Its a long way from the hang sandwiches and fizzy orange of our youth but a nice sojourn for a day walking or exploring the Gap!!
